What is Thirdman ?

Thirdman gives its users access to 2 types of data: historical data and live market data. Historical data consist in items that have been sold in the past. Consulting historical data allows customers to better understand the auction market. It allows customers to estimate future bids on items thanks to items realized prices (found in historical data). The live market data is every item that is going to be sold in a near future, it allows customers to compare and choose the best option, to finally bid on the desired items.

What can you do on Thirdman ?

Every upcoming auction can be bought. To do so, enter your maximum bid and click on the bid button. According to how much you enter, our algorithm will to tell you if your bid is promising or if it deserves to be increased. Then, depending on the brand, vouchers or discounts can be offered. Thirdman then warns you of the initial charge (fees) that is the amount to pay now.

How can I bid on Thirdman ?

In the profile section, click and bid to access the bid history.

Where can I find my bid history ?

Thirdman charges a 5% commission (success fee only) on the maximum bid. For example, if a user validates a maximum bid of 10’000€, the commission will be 500€, whatever the hammer price.

Are there fees to bid through Thirdman ?

The free account gives access to all the data available on Thirdman. Users can consult upcoming and past auctions. Limited information about past auctions is given. Search filters are limited too.

What does free account allow me to do ?

The premium version gives access to all the data, with all the information available. It gives full access to search filters too.

Why do I need a premium subscription ?

Collection

When going to the profile section, users can access to their collections. They can create new collections too.

How to create a collection ?

On every item (=lot) on Thirdman platform, there is a “save lot” button, that allows users to add the lot to a chosen collection.

How to save an item / add it to a board ?

Saved items can be found under collection, in the profile section.

Where to find my saved items ?

Auction

Once the item is obtained (successful bid), Thirdman is going to send you the auction house information. You are then in charge of contacting it and make the payment. Delivery is then arranged between the auction house and yourself.

When I obtain the desired item, what's next?

Additional fees must be paid to the auction house, such as the buyer's premium (usually 25% of the hammer price) and the delivery cost. Other taxes can apply, such as VAT. Thirdman validates its commission (5%, success fee only).
